Horsham 1 score a big win against Haywards Heath 1

Back in March, Horsham 1 scored another big win, this time against Haywards Heath 1.

Horsham were helped by Jeff Boardman's failure to turn up, which meant that Haywards Heath defaulted on board two.

Anthony Higgs scored a win over Martin Faulkner, as the latter's position rapidly went downhill after a mistake in a complicated position.

Alex Taylor, stepping in late as a substitute, scored an important win, as he recovered from a dubious position to turn the tables on his opponent. There were a few nervous moments as his clock ticked down, but he found the right path to victory.

Matthew Forster was close to winning, but he didn't find the winning path, and the position was drawn when play stopped at move sixty.

Gavin Lock had a complicated game against Feliks Kwiatkowski, which eventually ended in perpetual check.

This gave Horsham a 4-1 win.
