Julie starts her Olympiad journey!

Horsham's Julie Denning is currently in Budapest where she is playing in the Guernsey Womens Olympiad team - coverage is across multiple platforms.

She sent this photo captioned as follows: "As promised, photographic evidence that the Guernsey women's Olympiad team exists. This was as we were waiting to go to the opening ceremony. In the centre carrying the flag is Anu Bayar, our FIDE provided coach from Mongolia who has been doing her best to coach us during weekly zoom sessions for the past few months."

She is currently playing round 1 vs a 2200 rated WIM from Italy, best of luck today and for subsequent rounds Julie!
