Horsham Juniors scrap to third successive draw!

Horsham's junior rapidplay team travelled to Eastbourne for a tough fight ending in another tied match...

It is a long way to Eastbourne so my thanks to players and parents for turning out. On board 1 Ben won uncharacteristically quickly, Black's weakened kingside succumbing to a mating attack. On board 2 Maya was unlucky, being two pawns up at one point before getting her knight trapped and losing. On board 4 Harry played a very exciting game that was very close until a blunder, but stalemate saved the day! Finally on board 3 Peter saved a lost endgame by spotting the right moment to exchange pieces and mop up the enemy pawns.
