I feel rather a traitor to Horsham Chess Club, but this is just to inform you
that the Argumentatives will now be playing you in the semi-final of the MSL KO!

Our trip to Lewes on Tuesday Dec 18 resulted in an overwhelming success for the Args
against Lewes Firsts by 2.5 points each (win on grading)!!

Julie is away but has been informed and we will be offering you possible dates
for the Jolly Tanners in Jan or Feb.

Sounds like a good result against a strong Lewes ... but hoping that Julie's Knockout team will be able to dispatch you in the semis with her usual guile!

As we have several matches in January already it looks likely
that we'll be offering you February dates for the Jolly Tanners!

Bad luck Horsham! I must admit that we were lucky to win this match as a result of a tragedy
on Board 4. All chess players know what it's like to lose a winning game on time after
turning down draw offers.
