First round losers go into the plate competition.
Time limit: 30 moves in 60 minutes, then remaining moves in 30 minutes. Tournament Controller will act as arbiter. (If Tournament Controller absent a committee member will act as arbiter.) First game toss for colour, winner goes through. If a draw, reverse colours for next game. If still a draw, retoss for colours, and all moves in 60 mins (30 mins each). If still a draw reverse colours for next game. If still a draw retoss and all moves in 30 mins (15 mins each). Therafter continue having 30 min games until a result is reached.
