Junior success for Matt & co

HJCC's current junior champion Matt Forster won the British U11 Rapidplay in Leeds with 5/5 last weekend. This was an England trial qualifier too so Matt takes a step towards representing the country!

Matt, Oliver Thorne, Brennan Edwards and Joshua Francis played in the recent Sussex U11 Championship - scoring as follows:

Matt - 5/6 (2nd place)
Oliver - 4.5/6
Joshua - 3/6
Brennan - 1.5/6

Matt, Oliver and Brennan represented Heron Way School and their combined score won them 2nd place in the school rankings.

Zevon Rustom played in the U9 Championship and scored 4.5/6, contributing to Copthorne Prep's win in the school rankings and also winning an arbiter's prize.
