Horsham 4 vs Uckfield 2 - 5-0!

Unfortunately Uckfield were not able to field a full team for this game which gave us a 2 game lead but we still needed at least the one game, you never know...

This time Roger was first to finish after keeping a close eye on his opponents queen getting surrounded by more and more pieces he spotted the opportunity to trap it.

Matthew had a harder time of it coming with a piece down for two pawns but one of those was soon on the 6th rank and he managed to pressurise his opponent enough to get a great win.

Julie meanwhile had a knife-edged game with potential mating dangers for both sides but managed to parry off her opponents attack and simplify to prove her passed pawns were the game winner.

Final result a perfect 5-0! Uckfield 1 who we play in a couple of weeks will be after blood no doubt!
