The lightning approaches - just ten seconds per move all evening ...headache guaranteed!

Please let me know whether you can or cant attend so that we can start as quickly as possible on the night.

We will try to start at 7.30pm as usual.

The club's annual Lightning Tournament (10 seconds per move) was held last night, preceded by a junior lightning for the members of HJCC...

Another great evening with some howling errors (mainly mine) and some attacking chess. Anthony Higgs achieved 6.5/7 but still had to have a play off with Phil Stimpson - with Phil going through to the final to play Paul Taylor.

In an exciting couple of games Paul finally won to make him champion!
