The next round of the Knockout is on Tuesday 29 October.
This year we have the unusual situation where Horsham 4 have a match on the same night. If you are affected please just arrange to play your game at the earliest opportunity.

Congratulations to Peter Harbott, who won the longplay KO plate last Tuesday by defeating Peter Helliwell in the final. The main KO draw is also nearly sorted with one finalist determined and the other due to be decided soon. There are still plenty of games in the all-play-alls to keep you amused until the summer!

The knockout and Plate competitions are coming towards this season's conclusion.
1 March : Plate Semi-final between Pavlovic and Rustom
8 March : Knockout Semi-final between Lock and Comley and Plate quarter-final between Matt Forster and Lucy Bennet-Stevens (winner to play Nick Warren)
29 March : Knockout Semi-final between Higgs and Mike Forster

Last Tuesday was the day set aside for the first round of the standard play knockout competition. We managed to play two thirds of the fixtures, which was not too bad.
There were no real upsets in the games played. The full results can be found here.
Congratulations to Mike Forster for winning the Knockout. After an initial draw with Anthony Higgs he was successful at the second attempt and picks up the Knockout trophy. Mike won the Knockout plate last year so he is building up an excellent track record in this event!
